Description
This cap kit for the Game Gear contains all parts necessary to replace the electrolytic capacitors of any VA4 model Game Gear.
All caps are included for the:
- Main PCB
- Sound PCB
- Power PCB
This kit replaces surface mount with radial lead capacitors
INCLUDED:
- 1x Capacitor Kit
DOCUMENTATION:
- Console5 Wiki - contains cap list and values.
NOTES:
- Some replacement caps may have higher voltage ratings than the original parts (e.g. 100uF 10v instead of 100uF 6.3v)
- For easier installation of SMD-type Audio PCB caps with a soldering iron, the plastic spacer on the bottom of the cap can be clipped off, giving extra space to fit the soldering iron & solder.
- Product history: 2018-06 - Changed audio PCB caps to surface mount.
